Vivrelle Raises $35 Million to Boost AI Styling for Luxury Shoppers

Vivrelle is making luxury handbags and high-tech styling more accessible than ever. The first-of-its-kind luxury accessories membership club, has announced the close of a $62 million Series C funding round led by Protagonist. This major investment marks a new chapter for Vivrelle, which has been redefining how people access and experience luxury fashion since its founding in 2018.

A New Era for Vivrelle

Vivrelle’s business model is simple but powerful: members pay a monthly fee to borrow coveted designer handbags, jewelry, and accessories. This approach gives members access to luxury items without the need for permanent ownership, making high-end fashion more flexible and accessible. Over the past seven years, Vivrelle has seen steady growth, expanding its offerings and reaching more members across the United States.

Blake Geffen, founder and CEO of Vivrelle, shared her excitement about the company’s journey and the new investment: “Since founding Vivrelle in 2018, we’ve remained committed to providing our members with unparalleled access to luxury accessories and curated experiences that elevate everyday life.”
“This investment represents an exciting new chapter—enabling us to scale operations, deepen our inventory, and leverage emerging technologies, including AI, as we build a truly 360-degree luxury membership experience.”

How Vivrelle Works

Vivrelle stands out by offering four membership tiers, giving members flexibility to choose the level that fits their lifestyle and budget. Members can borrow items with no return date and even purchase pieces they fall in love with at exclusive members-only prices. The club’s inventory includes top brands like Chanel, Prada, and YSL, and is constantly updated to reflect the latest trends and member preferences.

The company has also opened a 14,000-square-foot showroom in New York City, providing a space for members to experience luxury fashion in person. This year, Vivrelle debuted its first retail concept in Bridgehampton, New York, and launched a multi-city partnership with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, with the next location opening this summer in Austin, Texas.

Plans for Expansion

With the new $62 million investment, Vivrelle plans to:

  • Expand its showroom footprint to new U.S. markets
  • Diversify its product assortment
  • Develop new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance the member experience

Vivrelle’s focus on innovation and customer experience is central to its growth strategy. The company aims to make luxury more accessible and experiential, while also responding to changing consumer preferences.

Industry Support and Partnership

Protagonist, the lead investor in this round, sees big potential in Vivrelle’s model.

Harry Hurst, founder and managing partner at Protagonist, commented: “As consumers shift away from traditional ownership models, the luxury accessories market is ripe for disruption—and Vivrelle has been at the forefront of this evolution.”
“We’re excited to bring Protagonist’s expertise in scaling category-defining tech brands to support Vivrelle in making high-end fashion more accessible and experiential than ever before.”

Looking Ahead

Vivrelle’s success reflects a larger trend in the fashion industry: consumers are moving away from traditional ownership and looking for more sustainable, flexible ways to enjoy luxury. By focusing on membership, experience, and technology, Vivrelle is well-positioned to lead this shift.

As Blake Geffen puts it, “This investment represents an exciting new chapter—enabling us to scale operations, deepen our inventory, and leverage emerging technologies, including AI, as we build a truly 360-degree luxury membership experience.”

With strong investor backing and a clear vision, Vivrelle is set to expand its reach and continue transforming the luxury fashion landscape.
